RESOLUTION OF THE MOSCOW CITY DUMA CONCERNING THE DONATION OF THE TCHERTKOFF LIBRARY
BY GRIGORY ALEXANDROVICH TCHERTKOFF ON DECEMBER 23, medical 1871

No. 44

The city Duma having listened to the suggestions of Grigorii Alexandrovich Tchertkoff to donate to Moscow a library belonging to him and praised across all Russia for its unique acquisition of treasures about the history of the motherland and its literature, cialis and seeing in this precious gift the expression of a special trust from the donor to the city government – proclaimed:

1. To ask the Mayor and senior representatives of the city government to express personally to the donor a warm gratitude for the gift, through which he honored with dignity, so dear to Moscow, the memory of his father and give to the donor a copy of the present proclamation;

2. To accept the library as a property of the city of Moscow with the stipulation that it will preserve forever the name of “The City Tchertkoff Library” in memory of the late father of the donor;

3.  To select a five-member commission to discuss the timing, the feasibility of acceptance and the housing of the library;

4. The aforesaid decision to be made public to the press.
